Navigating Veterinary Certification in the USA

Practicing veterinary medicine in the USA can open the door to incredible opportunities. However, for international veterinary graduates, the journey involves navigating a series of certifications and exams—a process that can feel overwhelming without the right guidance.

Understanding the Essentials

The Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) certification is a pivotal step for foreign-trained veterinarians aiming to practice in the United States. To achieve this, candidates must successfully complete the:

  • BCSE: Basic and Clinical Sciences Examination

  • NAVLE: North American Veterinary Licensing Examination

  • CPE: Clinical Proficiency Exam

We know this process is challenging, which is why we’ve created videos to help you understand the different steps and exams in detail.
